RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR TEACHERS
INTRODUCTION:
Teachers should ordinarily note that they are the pillars of every school; hence the promotion of the school ideals and marketing of the school should be the teachers’ duty.
- Teachers shall report to duty two days before the resumption of school in order to become adjusted with the term’s work,in time.
- Teachers shall report to duty by 7.30am on every school days and join the Morning Assembly exercise.
- Any teacher who comes to school from 7.31am on any school day is considered to be late to school.
- Lateness to school attracts a fine of #500.00 each day, while absence from school attracts a fine of #2,000.00 each day. Each of the fines is to be deducted from the teacher’s salary at the end of the month.
- Official school daily closing time is 3.00pm each day, and each teacher is expected to wait and handover the pupils to their parents before the teacher lives the school.
- Correcting and marking of papers shall be done after school hours, except when correcting and marking of papers are correlated with the classroom’s work.
- A teacher should not engage in any other job or business while in classroom, apart from teaching.
- Every teacher shall take proper care of the school equipment/properties in his or her class, as well as in the school at large.
- Every teacher shall make his or her class attractive and conducive for learning.
- Teachers shall not leave their classrooms except in cases of emergence or when it is absolutely necessary to leave, and in the latter case, after another teacher has been appointed.
